Experian Hitwise has compiled a list of popular social network sites corresponding to their year to year basis growth. Twitter has the largest percentage gain i.e. increasing by 1170 percent. But Twitter also has lowest year to year percentage change in terms of time spent by US people and that is -56%.

Facebook also rose to the top of the table in terms of visit during Septemeber 2009. 58.59% of the total collected data set of people visited facebook during the said period. The time spent during this time by an average user on facebook was 23 minutes.
