Bloggers are soon going to be asked about their identity and relationship with the company for whom they do the review of the products. The rules are up on the sleeves of FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and they are going to be implemented from December 1.
Citing transparency in the deals between advertisers and bloggers, FTC has asked to disclose all kinds of connections with the advertisers including free products and gifts. Even celebrities will be asked to give details of their dealings with the company when they endorse their product on social media networks. Some marketing and advertising agencies are not happy over this and they want FTC to work closely with the industry relating to social media networks.
