Google took a step forward in helping the students with disabilities. They have announced Google Europe Scholorship.This scholarship is for European countries only which means that if you are enrolled in any university in Europe and you do meet the eligibility criteria and you are not graduating before December 2010 then you can actually apply for it.
Currently, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & United Kingdom are the countries which are eligible for this scholarship. You are only entitled for this scholarship if you are Studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or a closely related technical field.

The term persons with disabilities is used to apply to all persons with disabilities including those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which, in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.The scholarship recipients will each receive a € 7,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for the 2010/2011 academic year. In June 2010, all scholarship recipients will be invited to visit Google’s Engineering Centre in Zurich for an all-expenses-paid networking retreat.
